This is a small binding of engravings, bound in three different types of animal skin reflecting various animals from the text.
Binding constructed from vellum, salmon skin and dyed cow skin.
Endpapers made from printed paper.
Hand sewn endbands in cream, black and gold threads.
The text block has gilt edges.
Each plate has a protective toned acid free tissue guard.
Binding is housed in a drop back box, lined with “elephant hide” style paper. Box lettered in gold on front of box on a label made from the same paper as the lining.
The whole is then stored in a cloth covered flexible portfolio, which has been lined with the same printed paper used to form the endpapers.
